Online Safety

We take online safety very seriously. Access to our NSWHaiku online learning environment is restricted to those who have been provided with a username and password.

Also, our server stores all communication that takes place so that staff are able to check if there are issues that need to be resolved. All of NSW staff have undergone DBS checks or equivalent where available.

We provide a range of guidance resources on online safety in our Info Centre and require that students, parents and teachers complete an induction week activity on safety whilst online. In addition we have a member of staff who monitors all the activity within our Student Cafe and discusses online safety issues and a range of other matters with our students.

A copy of our Child Protection Policy Document is available in the NSW Library, found in the Info Centre in NSWHaiku. A copy can also be obtained from the NorthStarWorldwide office.
